What Books Made It Onto My Apartment Shelf?

Hey, hi, hello! It’s been a while (again). Who would’ve thought law school would be such a time suck? (*insert eye roll here*)

As I mentioned way back in July, I moved to a new city to start law school (which ended up being entirely online, but I’m glad I’m here anyways.) A necessary consequence of this is that I have limited shelf space (read: one small shelf that needs to hold other things, like law books), and I left a great many books at my parents’ house. While said house isn’t too far away, I wanted to be sure I was maximizing space and acknowledging that I probably wouldn’t have too much spare time to read (I was right.) So the tough question became: what to bring?

My initial move-in involved only about 5. I was then home the next week and decided I could fit quite a few more, so I brought some more with me which put me at just 12 (although I have since added a couple). Now that it’s been a couple months, I thought I would share what I have with me and why!

June Wrap-Up and July Goals

Hi everyone! June has finally come to its end, even though I certainly feel like summer has just begun. I’m lucky enough that my one of my summer jobs has opened back up, so I’ve been busier the past week than I have been in months, but it’s also so nice to have something to do and a way to make some money. Anyway, June wasn’t a great reading month for me, but again, now that I’m at work more regularly, I actually have more incentive to read because it’s one of the only things that I can do easily in my downtime. But let’s get to this wrap-up!

September Wrap-Up and October Goals

Hello all! Once again, we’re at the beginning of another month, and we keep marching through 2018. But October means fall and Halloween and sweater weather, so I’m down for this. I can’t wait for the leaves to start changing and for it to finally get chilly and stay chilly (Ohio weather is bizarre since it was perfect fall weather just last week but now it’s 75 again.) Anyways, let’s get into what September was like for me, and what I hope October will be like!

August Wrap-Up and September Goals

Ah, yes. We’ve come to a close of yet another month. This one was actually okay with me, because my birthday is the last day of August (aka yesterday if you’re reading this the day of posting), so I’m always excited for the end of this month. It also means I am FINALLY back at school with all of my wonderful friends and teammates, who I’ve missed dearly all summer. Before I get too sappy, let’s get on with the reading stuff.

July Wrap-Up and August Goals

Every time I write one of these, I’m shocked that the month is ending. Will that ever stop guys? I’m sick of feeling like the month passed on, like, 10 days. Anyway, July was actually an okay month for me. It was very (VERY) busy, but in the best way. I feel like I’m a little behind on pretty much everything (reading, posting, reading everyone else’s posts), and I’m really hoping to change that in August, especially early in the month since I won’t have quite as much to do until I have to start packing and leaving for school (how is it already that time again?!) But let’s get into the good stuff, shall we?

June Wrap-Up and July Goals

I can’t believe yet another month is over. I’ll probably say that every time the month ends, so sorry if it gets a bit repetitive in these posts. The end of June means that the year is half over, which is absolutely ridiculous. I swear yesterday was March (where does all the time go??) Here’s my monthly update and plan for July! June is always a chaotic month for me, and July usually isn’t any better, so hopefully my reading stays about the same.

MUSINGS: May TBR

Hello all! Happy May and happy Star Wars Day! I know I’m a few days late (also I missed a post that was scheduled for Monday…oops), but I’ve been super busy. My semester is coming to an end, so this has been put off to the side because school is important. HOWEVER, this means that I’m almost done with school and will have all the time in the world to read! Last year, I think I got through somewhere around 15 books in May. It’s the perfect time for me to just power through stuff that I’ve been meaning to read because I’m done with school and it’s before my summer job starts, so I have all the time in the world. It was really wonderful last year, and I’m really looking forward to doing that again.
